Dyson unveils next-generation straightening technology with Corrale CoolShine™ straightener

Today, Dyson unveils the Corrale CoolShine™ straightener, a breakthrough in hot-plate styling that redefines how hair is straightened, shaped and finished. Engineered with precision heat control, flexing plates and active cooling, Dyson’s latest hair care innovation delivers glossy, sleek straight results with less heat damage, and is engineered to allow for fewer passes and next-level styling control.
Dyson has combined its pioneering flexing plate technology from the Corrale™ straightener with the new Corrale CoolShine™ cooling attachment for up to 29% less damage 2. Together, they transform straightening from a process powered by heat alone into next-level styling engineered for performance, precision and hair health.

Breakthrough heat-extracting technology: styling beyond heat
Drawing on Dyson’s wider expertise in advanced thermal engineering, including heat pipe principles used across technologies such as the Dyson Solarcycle light, Corrale CoolShine™ uses heat-extracting pipes within its cooling attachment to transfer excess heat away from the hair during styling.
The Dyson Solarcycle light uses heat pipe technology to help manage thermal performance to support long-lasting light quality. In Corrale CoolShine™, the same engineering principle is applied to hair styling: moving heat away from the hair after each pass to help reduce residual heat exposure.
At the heart of the Corrale CoolShine™ is Dyson’s first-of-its-kind removable cooling attachment, engineered with copper heat-extracting pipes that are sealed, containing heat transfer liquid (or water). As heat is applied during styling, the heat-extracting pipes draw excess heat away from the hair, cooling it down as you style and increasing style retention, delivering styles that last for up to 24 hours.
By drawing excess heat away from hair as you style, the Corrale CoolShine™ helps reduce heat exposure while delivering glossy, sleek straight results and up to 29% less heat damage 2. Hair is left cooler to the touch, soft and shiny, with up to 154% more shine1 versus untreated hair.
Flexing plates designed for more control and fewer passes
Dyson’s flexing plates are engineered to adapt around the hair, helping gather and align strands as you style. By improving control and contact across the section, the plates support more precise styling whether straightening, curling or creating waves, while helping reduce the need for repeated heat passes.
Conventional straighteners use solid plates that can apply uneven pressure, allowing strands to escape during styling. This can lead to repeated passes and increased exposure to high temperatures.

Precision heat control
The straightener features four engineered heat settings: 145°C, 165°C, 185°C and 210°C, allowing styling to be tailored to different hair types and desired looks. Lower temperatures support style top-ups and reduced-damage styling, while the 210°C setting helps create transformative styles for curly and coily hair.
Rapid heat-up means the device is ready in 15 seconds for instant styling, while precise control ensures heat is applied deliberately, rather than by default. -
Engineered for precision and ease of use
Lightweight and compact, the Corrale CoolShine™ has been engineered for improved manoeuvrability, faster styling and controlled straightening, with fewer passes3. Weighing 200g with an 85g removable cooling attachment and a compact design, it supports precise styling and ease of use, whether straightening, waving, curling or shaping ends.
Universal voltage also supports effortless styling no matter the destination.
Availability
The Dyson Corrale CoolShine™ straightener will launch globally across Dyson direct and professional channels from 15th September 2026. The core model will be available in Ceramic pink, the Dyson direct exclusive model in Jasper Plum with a universal stand, and the professional model in Steel violet with a 2.5m cable.
