Inside the technology
At Dyson, we power simpler routines with precision engineering. Traditional hot air brushes can expose hair to unnecessary stress, mechanical damage, dryness and breakage, often due to excessive heat, snag-prone ball-tip bristles and uneven heat distribution.
In true Dyson fashion, our engineers pioneered a first-of-its-kind solution to these problems: a patented dual bristle system designed to guide hair, not fight it.

Anti-snag bristles glide through hair with less breakage. Their unique looped structure collapses to release strands with ease, reducing snagging and improving scalp comfort when styling.

PivotFlex™ bristles leverage an open-base design to diffuse and control high-pressure airflow, minimising frizz and hair disturbance as you style. Flexing up to 90 degrees, the tapered profile helps hair wrap and release smoothly, creating tension without tangles.
When combined in a unique teardrop formation, these bristles work together to deliver optimal tension from root to tip, helping stretch curls and coils, smooth lengths and reduce frizz, all in a single motion.
Working alongside intelligent heat control technology, which measures temperature 100 times a second, the result is a styling routine that feels controlled, comfortable, and healthier, allowing you to explore different styles, while protecting the integrity of natural curl patterns and textures over time
