Night-time mode/ Sleep timer
Set Night-time mode for purified air on the machine's quietest settings, with a dimmed screen. Set a sleep timer to turn your purifying fan off, for any time between 1 hour and 8 hours.

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)

Gases released from a wide range of sources, such as aerosol sprays and air fresheners. They include formaldehyde and benzene, household fumes and odours.

Filter life

Shows how much filter life remains on both the HEPA and Active carbon fiters, so you know which one to replace, and when.

The Dyson Air Quality Index

To develop the Dyson Pure Cool™ purifying fan, Dyson reviewed numerous international air quality levels. The particle Dyson AQI levels are based on this research and measured in micrograms per feet cubed. For VOCs and NO2 (plus other oxidising gases) Dyson conducted research in both labs and real homes to calibrate the AQI for actual pollution events seen in homes. The data gathered was used to calibrate the Dyson AQI levels to allow the Dyson Pure Cool™ purifying fan to have the appropriate response level to cover these VOCs and NO2 (plus other oxidising gases).
