Has washing the filter resolved the issue?
Remove the bin from the cylinder.
With the bin removed, open the filter housing catch.
Run cold water though the open of the filter for approximately for 10 seconds.
WARNING: Do not use detergent. Do not wash in a dishwasher or washing machine.
Turn the filter upside down and tap 10 times.
Repeat until clean.
Leave filter to dry in a warm place until filter is completely dry.
Do not dry filter in a tumble dryer, microwave, oven, or near an open flame.
Remove the extension tube from the wand handle by pressing the grey switch on the handle.
Check there are no cracks in the handle.
Remove the hose fully from the machine and check there are no rips or tears in the hose.
Remove the bin fully from the machine and check that the inlet on the machine is not damaged.
Check the inlet located on the Main body of the machine, ensure the seal is not torn.
Check the lower duct hose is not torn or twisted.
Remove the clear bin from the cyclone by pressing the silver button at the back of the cyclone.
Attach the hose and bin to the machine ensuring they both click into place.
Turn the machine on.

Remove any tool from the extension tube.
Fully extend the extension tube by pressing the red button.
Turn the machine on and place your hand over the end of the extension tube.

Which floor tool are you experiencing an issue with?
For use on carpet flooring, the purple seal should be in the 'up' position.
For use on hard flooring, the purple seal should be in the 'down' position.
The model shown may vary from the product selected but the process remains the same.
Check the base and connector of the Dual mode floor tool for blockages and remove as necessary.
Test the Dual mode floor tool on the machine.

The Musclehead will automatically adjust from hard floors to carpets and carpet to hard floors. Therefore it does not need to be manually adjusted for different floor types.
The bleed valves can be opened if there is too much suction. If the performance is poor with the bleed valve open, they should be closed again

Check the neck and underneath the floor tool and remove any blockages as necessary.

Please note the Brush bar will default to 'On' when the vacuum is switched on.
The Brush bar on the Turbine head will start spinning as soon as the machine is turned on. You can toggle the Brush bar spin speed by pulling the air release trigger on the Wand handle.
For use on carpeted flooring, slide the switch on the handle to the 'on' up position.
For use on hard flooring, slide the switch on the handle to the 'off' down position.

This issue can be resolved by booking a repair.
When did the machine last have power?
Most Dyson vacuums have a built in safety system that stops the machine if it begins to overheat. This usually happens because the filters need washing or your machine is blocked.
Carry out the performance checks, and if your machine cuts out unplug and leave for at least 2 hours to cool down.

Clean the shroud with a dry cloth or by using the combination tool.
WARNING: Do not use any liquids to clean the cyclone.
Empty the clear bin
Place the bin inside a bag, close the bag around the bin and press the button to release the dust and debris.
Shake or tap firmly to remove all dust and debris from inside the bin and fine dust collector.
With the bin base open, press the silver button to separate the bin from the cyclone
Cleaning the clear bin and cyclone.
You may rinse the clear bin with cold water.
Ensure the bin is completely dry before refitting.
Rebuild and test the machine.

The Musclehead will automatically adjust from hard floors to carpets and carpet to hard floors. Therefore it does not need to be manually adjusted for different floor types.
The bleed valves can be opened if there is too much suction. If the performance is poor with the bleed valve open, they should be closed again.
There is no need to turn the Brush bar on and off for different floor types, the floor tool has a row of anti-static carbon fibre filaments to remove fine dust from hard floors, and stiff nylon brushes remove ground-in dirt from carpets. There's no need to turn the Brush bar off when moving from one floor type to another.
Connect the Turbine head to the extension tube and ensure the extension tube is fully extended.
Remove the clear bin from the cylinder.
Empty the clear bin
Place the bin inside a bag, close the bag around the bin and press the button to release the dust and debris.
Shake or tap firmly to remove all dust and debris from inside the bin and fine dust collector.
With the bin base open, press the silver button to separate the bin from the cyclone
Check the fine dust collector for blockages and remove as necessary.
Clean the shroud with a dry cloth or by using the combination tool.
WARNING: Do not use any liquids to clean the cyclone.
Cleaning the clear bin and cyclone.
You may rinse the clear bin with cold water.
Ensure the bin is completely dry before refitting.
Rebuild and test the machine.
Empty as soon as the dirt reaches the level of the MAX mark - do not overfill.
Remove the bin by pressing the release button to the side of the carry handle.
To release the dirt, press the red bin release button.
To minimise dust/allergen contact when emptying, encase the clear bin tightly in a plastic bag and empty.
Remove the clear bin carefully, seal the bag tightly and dispose of as normal.
Close the clear bin base so it clicks into place and is secure.
Replace the clear bin and cyclone back into position on the front of the Main body.
